Payments and Receipts

Payments

Any clerical or administrative fees are due before documents will be examined.

Payment for notary services is required before the act will be completed.

Receipts

An itemized receipt will be provided after all notarial acts are completed and payment rendered.

Appointments

Appointments may be made on our website, by calling our office at (267) 676-6666, or by emailing [email protected].

There is a flat $10 fee per appointment

Walk-in Appointments

Walk-in appointments are available ONLY for document certifications and secure document destruction. Please call ahead at (267) 676-6666 to confirm that someone is in the office.

Identification

All notary acts, with the exception of certified copies, require named individuals to have current government-issued identification, such as a passport or driver's license. Real ID compliance is not necessary.

Documents in languages other than English

We are able to accept government-issued documents printed in Spanish and Finnish.

If you do not have identification in any of these languages, you must bring two witnesses who can attest to your identity.

Certified Copies

Certified copies may be requested by presenting the document(s) to be copied (1) in person, for immediate generation and collection, or (2) by mail, including return postage and a valid return address.

If mailing your document(s), a fee of $5 per certified copy should be included in the form of cash, or check made out to Grays Ferry Family Notary. Credit cards will only be accepted in person.

Fingerprint Rolling

Our office provides FBI FD-258 Applicant Cards at no additional charge, but you may bring in your own cards to be filled out if you like.

Although it is not typically required by law enforcement agencies, we will provide a free acknowledgement certificate with your fingerprint card if you would like one. This certifies that you were the person to fill out the fingerprint card.

We are not able to submit these cards on your behalf; you or your attorney will need to send them to the agency requesting them. We also do not guarantee that we will be able to comply with each individual agency's criteria for fingerprinting. Please check, or have your attorney check, for any special requirements with the requesting agency before your appointment.

Clientes que hablan español, o con documentos en español

ATENCIÓN: En algunos lugares, el título "Notario Público" implica que la persona es un abogado. Esto no es cierto en los Estados Unidos, y no empleamos a ningún abogados y no podemos brindar asesoramiento legal ni aceptar honorarios por asesoramiento legal. Por ley, debemos negarnos a usar la frase "notario público" y nos negaremos a certificar ante notario los documentos que contengan esta frase. Podemos enmendar sus documentos para usar la frase en inglés, "Notary Public", con su permiso.

¡Podemos leer y escribir en español!

Empleamos personal que pueden leer y escribir español. Por lo tanto, podemos certificar documentos y aceptar identificaciones emitidas por un gobierno en español.

Sin embargo, espere que todas las comunicaciones y los documentos proporcionados estén en inglés. Recomendamos traer un traductor si puede.
